STOP DUBAI SHEIKHS FROM SLAUGHTERING OUR WILDLIFE
STOP THIS: The hunting company, Otterlo Business Corporation, is owned by a member of the Dubai royal family, Brigadier Mohammed Abdulrahim Al-Ali. The most high profile hunts involve the Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister and Vice President of UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum and his son crown prince Hamdan bin Mohammed al Maktoum. I don’t think there’s much of a revolution in Dubai. There are no civil liberties, but all citizens are rich and fat while virtually all work is done by oppressed immigrant workers. Though the Unites Arab Emirates sent troops to crush the revolution in Bahrain.
Around 2002 there were Kenyan protests against OBC. These were because of supposed carnage of Kenyan wildlife and there are trustworthy reports about these excesses. I have not been able to establish to what extent they continue today, but the TZ hunting industry is full of corruption, not only in this case.
Loliondo borders Narok South. Kenyan Maasai could almost go for a walk to see what’s going on.
Then the problem in Loliondo is not only Arab hunters, but also “non-consumptive” tourism companies like the American Thomson Safaris that claim ownership as a private “nature refuge” of Maasai grazing land because they bought it ILLIGALLY in 2006 from a brewery that had cultivated barley on part of the land for a few years in the 80s.

Why is this important?
We need your help to stop the Tanzanian government from allowing hunting in the Serengeti - Mara eco-system. Animals do not know borders. The community that has co-existed with the Wildlife for thousands of years are now refugees in their own lands, their homesteads razed to th ground to make way for Hunting.
