"Stop Giving Fame to School Shooters NOW"
In the Parkland High School shooting, the perpetrator stated that once media outlets published his name and his picture, we would know who he is. He wanted notoriety and fame.
This petition calls for the corporate sponsors of media outlets across the country to withdraw monetary support to media agencies that publish the name or picture of the perpetrator until the day of his or her sentencing.
Though this will not stop all future school shootings from occurring, it will send the message that perpetrators of these horrible crimes will NOT receive the recognition or fame they seek.
As a nation, we can come together to try to curb the senseless massacre of our children by insisting that the corporate sponsors of these media outlets withhold their support to any media outlet that provides the limelight these criminals crave.

Why is this important?
We need to do SOMETHING to help curb the number of school shootings.
