Stop horse abuse ("soring") at Big Lick competitions

If you care about horses, or any sentient beings, ask your members of Congress to support the "PAST Act." This would prevent the cruel abuse of Tennessee Walking Horses in the deeply misguided event called "Big Lick". Horses have been tortured for years with caustic chemicals and other devices in order to make them walk unnaturally in the "Big Lick." This horrific brutality, euphemistically called 'soring' by the industry that profits from it, can cause severe burns and skin loss, as well as other serious and painful injuries. The pain is deliberately inflicted on horses for the entertainment of people who apparently enjoy watching animals being tormented -- and for profit. Be aware that Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has introduced a sham bill purporting to "protect" these horses, when in fact it would do virtually nothing to stop the abuse. Tennessee Walking Horses all over the country need your immediate help to stop their systematic torture and abuse, especially since the politicians from their own state have abandoned them to their attackers.

Why is this important?

Innocent horses are being sadistically tortured for profit while politicans let it continue.
