Why is this important?
President Trump said he would treat our nation’s Dreamers "with heart" and that they have "nothing to worry about," but his administration barred DACA recipient Marco Villada from re-entering the United States, despite assuring him that he would be able to come back home after obtaining his visa in Mexico.
Marco has lived nearly his entire life in California and did everything the government asked of him to adjust his immigration status. Despite that, Marco is currently stranded in Mexico, away from his husband, family, and community in Los Angeles — the only place he knows as home.
Barring Marco from the United States goes against everything our country should stand for.
