STOP Infinitecare from Leasing the Sullivan County Adult Care Center
Sullivan County's county owned nursing home (the Adult Care Center) was targeted for privatization by the previous legislature despite decades of taxpayer investment, in a scheme to avoid anticipated financial disaster due to COVID. Infinitecare LLC was given a consulting agreement in 2021 but has participated in an illegal delegation of authority, acting as full manager of the facility in all aspects, pending permission of the DOH's permission for a lease. Medicare ratings fell from 4 stars to 1 star and the facility is now grossly understaffed and mismanaged, while Infinitecare retains all revenue and the county foots all the bills. Infinitecare just keeps admitting more patients regardless of the staffing levels. Infinitecare has broken their contract by failing to comply with reporting requirements and financial reconciliations, by hiring all upper level management, medical and dental staff, and more. They really only care about making as much money as they can.
Why is this important?
The residents of our nursing home are suffering from neglect and squalor due to gross mismanagement by a company which callously seeks only to steal every penny they can. Please help our disabled and elderly families and neighbors to regain the quality of care and safety they should be receiving in our county nursing home. Save our nursing home for the future.
