Stop Insurance Companies from charging higher rates for poor credit ratings.

There are people that due to their inability to find work or illness in their family have poor credit ratings because they have been unable to keep up with their bills. Insurance companies should not be able to charge these people higher insurance rates due to their poor credit rating which in turn places a harder burden on this segment of the population & forces them further into financial hardship & makes it more difficult to make ends meet. A law should be passed stating that it is illegal for insurance companies to continue this practice. This practice is unnecessary because if a person cannot pay the premium the policy is cancelled anyway so why make it more difficult for a person to make their premiujm payments.

Why is this important?

People with poor credit are not all irresponsible people, but are people who for whatever reason are having a difficult time making ends meet. Insurance companies should not be able to make life more difficult for this segment of the population by charging higher rates for insurance coverage on homes and cars.
