Stop Jorge Gonzalez Garcia's Deportation
Jorge Gonzalez Garcia came to the attention of Immigration for a simple alleged traffic offense for which he was not even cited. When he was placed in removal proceedings, he was one and a half months shy of the 10 years of physical presence required for the court to consider canceling his removal. He was denied prosecutorial discretion because of an unresolved juvenile offense that occurred over 15 years ago that we cannot get records on.
He has three U.S. citizen children ages four to twelve, one of whom has a speech delay and would lose many opportunities for therapeutic intervention if Jorge were removed to Mexico. He's been an outstanding member of his church community for the entire time he has been in the U.S. and has no other criminal blemish on his record. Please close Jorge Gonzalez Garcia's case and grant him prosecutorial discretion.
