Parents separated from their children by the US government are being charged outrageous fines to get to their children or to get out of detention and find their children. These people are poor and have already paid high prices to get here, only to be turned down. We shouldn't make them pay a ransom to get to their children.
Why is this important?
American citizens are not monsters that want to steal children from those seeking a better life. This horrifying act by the current administration is cruel and unnecessary. I haven't been personally victimized by this action but as a human being and a parent I think we need to speak up!
