Stop Michigan Republican Abuse of "Immediate Action" Clause
We the people of Michigan, do hereby demand the the Michigan legislature and Governor ceased the excessive and illegal use of the "immediate action" process to pass bills and create laws contrary to the full and required legislative process. In doing so to cease the abuse of this method to pass sweeping reforms on the people of Michigan without the full rights provided under the protected and formal legislative process.
Why is this important?
Michigan's Republican legislature has used the "immediate action" clause to pass over 550 laws since January. This clause was intended for a natural disaster or like event. Currently, Michigan Republicans are using this clause to pass bills contrary to the formal legislative process.
Please sign this petition to tell Michigan Republican legislators to start following the proper legal process. Some sources indicate that every law passed could be legally challenged for validity. Governor Snider and his Republican zealots are out of control and need to know that the state belongs to all its residents not just big business.
