Stop money-making ticket writing
Ticket-writing has become a multi-million dollar business. One way to stop the money-making intent behind it, as Dr. Regina Jensen, a psychotherapist and magazine editor, calls it, is to contest tickets and, via press-releases, flyers and online petitions, “make people more aware of the untruths around the supposed necessity of this to ‘keep order’” via applying fear tactics and expensive PR-rhetoric charged to the tax-payer.
Courageous people everywhere are encouraged to “instruct ‘City Hall’” and its Mayor, representing their police departments, by way of online petitions, contesting tickets and swamping their court systems. “We pay them to help, not to hurt us,” says Jensen, who started a petition online for the City of Los Angeles and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, “...before their tyranny in the name of money gets any worse”, as she describes it. Why is this important?
Money-making ticket writing via fear and PR rhetoric to convince us that "abuse is good for us."
