To: The Oklahoma State House, The Oklahoma State Senate, and Governor Kevin Stitt

Stop Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin from Bankrupting the State.

Dear Honored Governor and Legislators:

The Governor's proposal to reduce our State's income tax rates warrants further public debate and investigation. We do not believe that is in The People's best interests to reduce the share of maintenance for our infrastructure and institutions that is paid by those who benefit the most from it, especially if these funds are to be extorted from our veterans and working class. Furthermore, we believe that reducing the State's income during a time of economic turbulence exposes us to the risk of bring unable to support our infrastructure and institutions into the future, or even insolvency. We petition the Governor and Legislature to dismiss this proposal until exhaustive analysis and a return to economic prosperity warrant it's re-introduction.

Why is this important?

Governor Fallin has proposed to slash Oklahoma's top income tax rate, a move that could cost the state as much as $1 Billion. She proposes to offset these losses by eliminating tax deductions for our veterans and middle class families. This brazen proposal could leave our state in financial ruin, forcing us either to be insolvent or slash vital services.
