Stop breeders from over breeding.
Hold breeders responsible for the animals they sell. Impose a fee to be paid to the shelters and rescue groups for each dog they sell, require stricter guidelines for adopting an animal, require a license to breed, set limits on the number of litters an animal can have.
Why is this important?
There are thousands of unwanted pets in the US. Most of them are euthanized. Some are abandoned and neglected. The shelters and rescue groups are inundated with animals because breeders are just out to make a profit. Having stricter guidelines and holding the breeders responsible will help curb this epidemic.
