Big businesses as well as PAC's and SUPERPAC's only want what is in THEIR best interest and not that of others. Abolishing the PAC and SUPERPAC is only the beginning. If big businesses want the rights of an individual they should also be taxed as such yet they are not. It's with their win in the federal Supreme Court that they can contribute as much or more than any individual can to get their way. It's just the same as the PAC and SUPERPAC. IT WILL ONLY END WHEN YOU THE CITIZEN STOPS THIS! TELL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS WE WANT AN END TO THIS ABUSE OF POWER BY EMAILING THEM THROUGH SIGNING THIS PETITION!
Why is this important?
More and more you hear about political action groups (PAC) and super political action groups (SUPERPAC) as well as big businesses such as AT&T and others buying votes via and through campaign contributions. This is NOT in the best interest of the American citizens at large.
