Otters are part of our state's ecosystem. They eat fish, but otter population in RI is actually quite small. They are very rarely seen, as they are private creatures. Otters are harmless animals and should be protected from the passage of this senseless law.
They are endangered, as their ability to reproduce has been damaged by man-made chemicals.

Why is this important?
I am starting this petition to ask for support to defeat H.B. 7859, a proposed change in the law that protects otters from hunting and trapping.
