Stop Politicians from LYING on National Airwaves

When politicians lie on national airwaves, they erode trust in government and the democratic process.

Join us in calling on the FCC to penalize politicians who lie on national airwaves with a 1-week ban from national airwaves for each lie or misleading statement statement made on publicly owned airwaves.

Broadcasters who violate that prohibition are fined the equivalent of the offending show's gross revenue for 1-week.

Why is this important?

Politicians have gone overboard with brazen lies. This is becoming the norm in political debate: 'repeat lies long enough and people will believe them.'

The FCC has the power to stop lies in their tracks, but has failed. National airwaves are a public trust. It is clear that trust has been eroded.
