Stop Republican voter purge!
President Obama, please ask your Justice Department to stop the unconstitutional voter purging in Florida and other states with Repulican governors and legislatures.
Why is this important?
In 2000 Florida's Republican governor and secretary of state quietly instituted a voter purge that removed over 13,000 eligible voters from the rolls. These were mostly young and minority voters who usually voted Democratic. Bush won the state, and the presidency, with a little over 500 votes. Had these eligible voters not been prevented from voting, Gore would have won and we would probably have not lost thousands in a useless war.
