RICO LAW is a law that was initially passed on the federal level to prosecute mob rings. Now they want to extend the RICO bill to be enacted on a State level. What this means to black people is---if the State's Attorney for some reason or another believes you are a known member of a gang you can be prosecuted. Well most times in Illinois the color of our skin dictates if your a gang members or drug dealers above all other evidence. This bill is another bill that will be enacted to affect black lives disproportionately and to jail blacks disproportionately. Vote no by signing this petition!!!
Why is this important?
If RICO gets passed on the State level I assure you all our black children will be at risk for unfair targeting under this act. Illinois is a corrupt state as it is and with entrusting them with this type of power it will surely be abused. Every black person will be labeled a "known gang member" and would then be subject to prosecution under this law. Sign to stop this NOW!!!
