To Home Depot, Lowe's, and Wal-Mart: Please don't contribute to the die-off of the bees by selling garden plants containing neonicotinoids, which the International Union for Conservation of Nature calls “a key factor in the decline of bees.” As an avid home gardener, the last thing I want is to be a cause of this catastrophe. I will not buy garden plants or seeds from any source from now on unless the seller can say with certainty that these products have never been treated with neonicotinoids.
Why is this important?
I love gardening and I don't want my garden to be a source of danger to these crucially important pollinators.
