Stop Taxation of Military Retirement Pay

I think it's a slap in the face of retired veterans who suffered physically, mentally and emotionally through 20 years or more of military life to be taxed on their retirement pay. I think they've all made major sacrifices in their dedication to and protection of this country and should be given the utmost respect in terms of benefits and service. One can never put a price on the value of a life or the pain and suffering sustained in the heat of battle during the course of a war. Nor can there be a value put on the time spent away from family and loved ones throughout a military career and some members spend more than three-quarters of their careers away from them. No other profession has to make such dramatic sacrifices in the interest of performing their duties and protecting this country so why are retired veterans being punished for extending their service to this country to 20+ years which fill a void in terms of experience, sacrifice and dedication, all of which goes into making this country great and a global premier power in the world. Lets give these veterans a break and stop taxing their military retirement pay. They have already sacrificed enough!!!

Why is this important?

Military retirement pay is being taxed at an astounding rate by the Federal Government. I don't believe that military retirement pay should be taxed by either the Federal, State or Local Governments.
