The Second Amendment guarantees the right of the People to keep and bear arms for one reason and one reason ONLY - so that the PEOPLE of this country can throw off a government that has become tyrannical/oppressive should the political process fail. Are you really foolish enough to give up that last check/balance? The Constitution, and it's Amendments, are not outdated and those in government that would pursue such rhetoric need to resign.
