A Canadian venture looking to send and sell electricity into the New York City area by running a cable through New York; part of that cable will run through land within Stony Point.
Many properties will need to be "acquired" via eminent domain to install the cable alongside the CSX Railroad right-of-way.
We ask that you and other elected officials work together to prevent this power line from being developed through Stony Point, NY.
Why is this important?
The development of this power line through Stony Point obviously will cause a great deal of turmoil and hardship. I am committed to raising as much awareness about this issue as possible so that the project can be stopped from running through our town.
