Stop the city's parking meter people from raping the citizens wallets

A single mother of three goes into a supermarket to purchase a quick lunch for her kids and the line is too long, or you go to a Starbucks to get a cup of coffee and simply forget, maybe you have to use the restroom (I know criminal)
Then, you return to find a $68 meter fine! This is the equivalent of 20% of some family's monthly rent, a bi monthly electric bill, an Innsurance payment or baby's monthly formula and we allow our city's to charge it for over staying our time on a parking meter? Its ridiculous! Tell your local government to find the money to replace their deficit from somewhere other than the poor and working classes pocket. Reasonable meter fines now!

Why is this important?

Bring parking fines down to a reasonable amount per infraction. 20$ is plenty to detour people from forgetting to pay their meters. Save large fines if need be for fire hydrants and handicap spaces. Everything else is just a way to tax the people without having it approved by the people.
