Stop the Delta Twin Tunnels!

There are better and even less expensive alternatives to the twin tunnels in the California Delta. Even Governor Brown's Bay and Delta Conservation Group (BDCP) officials that are trying to jam this multibillion dollar project (the figures range from $14 billion to over $50 billion, depending on the "experts" quoting them) admit this project will not produce one more drop of water for end users. Worse yet, they don't want the people to vote on it, like they did in June 1982 when the first Prop. 9 attempt at a peripheral canal was defeated. Is this the America you want? Must farmers in the fertile Delta give up their land by eminent domain to benefit farmers growing crops in the desert in places like Kern County? Are you prepared to make Californians pay even higher water bills for this insane boondoggle?

Why is this important?

To save the California Delta from politicians and wealthy interests ruining the California Delta that should have been made into a national park. Governor Brown, Southern California water districts, and the federal government have teamed up to hook up three intake plants to the Sacramento River to suck water into two huge 30 mile long underground canals southward to L.A. and San Diego.
