The Republicans in Congress believe it is a good idea to erect a statue of Dick Cheney in the US Capitol. Our nation should not honor a man who sent over 4,400 US soldiers to die in a needless war that he and his cronies profited from!
Why is this important?
From lying to Congress to start a needless war in Iraq that has destabilized the region, to playing a part in the authorization of state sponsored kidnapping and torture, and then allowing the company he once ran to receive no-bid contracts in Iraq, Dick Cheney deserves prison time rather than any type of national honors!
