Stop the killing of Canadian Geese
Every spring, Canadian geese arrive on our lakes and ponds within our South Carolina neighborhoods. They raise their young. Just as the goslings are swimming, the PHISA Division of the USDA of South Carolina moves into the neighborhood, captures the birds and kills them. They do not capture and relocate these beautiful animals. I encourage the government to cease the Canadian goose kill.
Why is this important?
I think Canadian geese should not be killed in residential areas, but rather relocated to remote habitats. Furthermore, PHISA states on their website that they " give the dead birds to charity for food." These birds feed in lakes which contain chemical run off from yards and are regularly treated with algaecides. This cannot be a healthy food source. Please stop this kill practice.
