Lobbying is old-fashioned, unnecessary and completely against the founding ideals of the United States, a country where people were expected to have a direct relationship with their elected representatives, thus "we the people" would govern ourselves. Lobbying is an out-dated practice that can be replaced by more modern means of more direct communication between our representatives and their consituents' views. Lobbying is now simply a corruping interloper into our democratic system and it needs to be abolished.
Why is this important?
Lobbying is the seat of corruption in our government. It gets between the people and their elected officials and it leads to our leaders ignoring their constituents and going with the highest bidding lobbyist. This is NOT part of a democratic process.
