Stop the MTA Fare Hike that could Affect MTA NICE Bee-Line Roosevelt Island Tramway
We are residents and tourists depends on MTA Subway, Buses, Staten Island Railway, Nassau Inter County Express, Bee-Line Buses and Roosevelt Island Tramway, along with MTA Metro-North and Long Island Railroad.
If MTA Board Increases fare, NICE Bus operated by Veolia in Nassau County; Bee-Line Buses operated by Liberty Lines Transit Inc. in Westchester County, and Roosevelt Island Tramway operated by RIOC has to follow MTA's fare hike or other otherwise proposal Unlimited MetroCard might not be accepted because currently all these transit agencies take MetroCard.
Metro-North and Long Island Railroad fare increase are also affected.
Right aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, many victims has suffered by storm and it is unfair for people who are working or became poor by devasting Hurricane Sandy.
Some people lost cars, which most car or taxi riders are now using public transportation.
We are asking MTA to stop 2013 fare hike and we are already tired after last year's fare increase by MetroCard fare hike.
We are also asking MTA to restore 1-Day Unlimited Pass because lots of tourists are unhappy with elimation of 1-Day Unlimited Ride MetroCard.
We are also urging MTA to stop the toll hike for residents of Staten Island and Far Rockaway communties in Queens, where it got major damaged from storm.
Yours sincerely truly,
