Stop the ban on pythons: help save American jobs and prevent an ecological disaster from a surge of released pets.
Why is this important?
S. 373 proposes to end interstate commerce of 7 large python species, and makes possession of these species illegal by adding them to the Lacey Act. This will have unintended consequences of killing jobs in the pet industry, as well as spurring owners to get rid of their now-illegal pets by any means, including releasing them into the wild, wich would worsen the invasion of these species into the ecosystems of the United States.
