The Problem:
1.) Politicians spend at least half their time in office attending fund raisers and preparing for re-election.
2.) Politicians are in constant fear of lobby firm threats and retaliations instead of looking out for their constituents who elected them.
3.) Politicians retire with a golden parachute and then go to work on the other side, a lobby firm.
To correct this, we need to simply vote in a limitation of a one time, 8 year term limit on all national political office positions. Additionally, once they have left public office, it needs to be illegal for them to be affiliated with any lobbyists within the following 8 years.
Why is this important?
Our government is currently up to it's neck in a stagnate cesspool and with a simple national vote, we the people can make the change that will put an end to much of what's wrong with so much of these politics.
