Stop the subsidies for the production of ethanol from corn. It has a negative impact on the environment, the consumer and our federal budget.
Why is this important?
The federal government subsidies the companies who produce ethanol from corn. The proponents of this subsidy erroneously believe that use of corn bases ethanol is environmentally friendly, when it has been scientifically proven that the production and use of corn based ethanol in gasoline has a negative effect on the environment. It also drives up the price of corn, beef and pork to the consumer.
