Keep the INTERNET as a public service that providers can deliver to users and to which everyone has equal access. Do not let providers manipulate who gets heard and seen based on who has money to pay them. This undermines our democracy and our free enterprise system.
Why is this important?
I use the internet to access a wide variety of views, information, and vendors. I am extremely alarmed about how our lawmakers are equating money with speech and promoting the speech of those with money and suppressing the speech and opportunities of those without. This is a disaster for equality in America. This is another example of money buying exclusive access to our political and economic system. It must be stopped to preserve our democracy and free enterprise system.
