Please stop the TPP from destroying democratic checks and balances on corporate behaviors overseas. Stipulations in the TPP lay a clear path for Corporate welfare and rule over global markets, prohibiting oversite by citizens and groups who would try to protect themselves from economic, social and environmental abuses.
Why is this important?
The Trans-Pacific Pact (TPP) is a disastrous pact between a handful of nations that is including obscene protections for international corporations to get away with anything they want. With this agreement, governments, non-profit or any entity that complains or works to resist any actions that a corporation does in nations in does business in, could be legally sued for millions and billions of dollars.
