STOP the transportation of elementary students with high school students!
Despite the Board's belief that this policy would benefit all our students, and despite countless complaints from students and parents, elementary students as young as 8 (4th grade) and secondary students as old as 18 (12th grade) in the Webutuck Central School District continue to be commingled on the same buses, creating serious issues which could easily be addressed by the implementation of their own policy.
Why is this important?
Webutuck Central School District Policy #8410 states, "As part of the effort to ensure effective and safe service, the Board authorizes the district to provide separate bus runs to elementary and secondary students. The Board believes this practice is beneficial to all of our students." (Adoption date: April 22, 2014)
