Stop The Use Of Coltan In Cellphones, Create Peace In The DRC

Save the environment and save lives. Stop the use of conflict materials from the Congo.

Why is this important?

The use of Coltan in cellphones is causing major civil war and conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in Central Africa. Stopping the use of Coltan would help to cease the fight over it in Africa where thousands of lives are lost because of it. An effect of mining Coltan and ruining the environment, the number of eastern lowland gorillas, in eight Dem. Rep. of Congo national parks, has declined by 90% over the past 5 years, and only 3,000 now remain. By only using non conflict materials you are saving lives and saving the environment.
