To: President Donald Trump, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate

Stop the XL Pipeline

The biggest threat to Americans these days is not lack of economic growth or even unemployment. It is Climate Change. Humanity's (and the planet's) continued existence is actually being called into question. Recent wetter-than-normal storms and extended droughts are making this abundantly clear to everyone.

The XL tar sands pipeline would draw on the second biggest pool of carbon. Even if it doesn’t spill, it would add 900,000 barrels of oil worth of carbon each day to the earth’s atmosphere, or as much as the new auto efficiency regulations would save. It would, in other words, cancel out the whole long fight to increase auto mileage. The tar sands are the dirtiest energy on the planet.

The United States faces many difficult problems, but Climate Change trumps them all, since we are talking about our survival.

Stop the XL tar sands pipeline.

Why is this important?

Climate Change and the XL Pipeline.
