Social Security numbers are only supposed to be used for job related wage issues, not mortgage or credit checks OR VOTER ID checks. See http://www.ssa.gov/employer/ssnvrestrict.htm "It is not proper to use SSNVS for non-wage reporting purposes, such as identity, credit checks, mortgage applications, etc." This is illegal. Please issue an injunction on this practice immediately by executive order/court order.
Why is this important?
With Voter ID laws in the country being passed in many states, many are perhaps using the SS Administration SS Number Verification System (SSNVS) to check citizens ID.
