Stop&Shop: Label GMO Foods
When I’m buying food at Stop&Shop, I should be able to make a healthy, informed, and responsible choice. But Stop&Shop doesn’t label its products that contain genetically modified ingredients, or GMOs.
It’s time for Stop&Shop to follow the lead of other grocery chains like Whole Foods and label GMOs in its store-brand products so that we can decide for ourselves whether or not we want to eat these potentially harmful products. Please label GMOs on your store-brand products today.

Why is this important?
While more research needs to be done to understand the full impact of GMOs, they are not without risk. For example, some GMOs are designed to allow for increased use of pesticides, which have been linked to serious health and environmental impacts. And GMOs usually don’t undergo safety testing before they’re allowed onto the market.
