Urge Judiciary Committee Chair D.C. Councilmember Tommy Wells to introduce the Resolution "Strengthen the 1994 Assault Weapons Resolution of 2013".
Why is this important?
The Council to vote to pass the Resolution submitted by Commissioner Acqunetta Anderson, SMD4A01 which supports legislation which strengthens the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban by moving from a 2-characteristic test to a 1-characteristic test. Detachable bayonet mounts and flash suppressors are no longer considered military characteristics.
