We, the citizens and tax payers of Oklahoma, demand action in light of the outrageous negligence by oil companies involved in fracking and waste water disposal and the earthquakes they induce. At a minimum, a triggered magnitude 4.0 or larger earthquake, with an epicenter in a company's oil field, should result in a cease of operations until the company can prove subsequent large quakes will not be caused.
Why is this important?
In 2015, Oklahoma - a state with no active fault lines - had more earthquakes than all othe continental states combined. According to the USGS, this is caused by activities related to Fracking and Waste Water disposal. We will not sit by and watch corporations destroy our state.
