Strike and Protest to Support Government Workers
In order to support government and contract workers who are not being paid, we propose a nationwide strike on January 29, as well as a protest at Capitol Hill, should President Trump proceed with his planned State of the Union. The purpose is to put pressure on the White House to restart the government.
Why is this important?
The entire country is being affected by this completely unnecessary shut-down, and the longer it lasts the wider the damage. We should support those being most grievously affected-- federal government and contract workers. All citizens can demonstrate support for these individuals by participating in a national strike and by putting pressure on their representatives, particularly on their Senators.
