Students' Response to School Shootings
The students of the USA demand the right to be safe at school. We will not tolerate any more mass shooting murders on our campuses. All of us, regardless of political party affiliation, have come together and agree that the following changes must be made:
1. Change the legal age to purchase guns to 21.
2. Cease the sale of semi-automatic and automatic weapons.
3. Post professional armed security guards at all schools.
4. Place metal detectors at the entrance of all schools.
5. Improve mental health screening, reporting, and treatment in schools.
6. Heavily tax guns and ammunition.
7. Restrict gun sales to only those who pass thorough background checks, mental health assessments, weapons training, and demonstrate gun need.
8. Limit the amount of guns and bullets allowed to be sold to a person per year.
9. Impose harsher legal repercussions on gun owners whose gun is miss-handled, miss-fired, injures anyone unjustly, or is used in a crime. Even if the owner is not the one that committed these acts.

Why is this important?
The recent mass shooting and murders at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas high school will not be tolerated by the students of this country. We demand an end to this violence and insist of measures to prevent future tragedy through changing some of the laws regarding guns, improving campus security, and increasing mental health screening and treatment.
