Republican governor Rick Snyder of Michigan knowingly poisoned the public drinking water of the 100,000 residents in Flint, 61% of whom are African-American. Ten people have died. Thousands of children in Flint face the prospect of permanent brain damage or death. This is attempted genocide. Tell congress to subpoena Rick Snyder and demand answers. We are way beyond polite requests.
Why is this important?
The lives and futures of thousands of children have been jeopardized. Since I feel personally affected when a child on another continent is hungry, I am even more impacted by this atrocity in my own country.
