Why is this important?
Voters in Summit County can expect long lines, confusion about times, and where they can vote during the upcoming early voting period for the 2012 election. That’s because the Summit County Board of Elections is deadlocked on extending hours for early voting and choosing an early voting location that is accessible and convenient for voters.
It doesn’t have to be this way though. The Board of Elections can vote again and if one of the Republican members switches their vote, Summit County voters will have more flexibility and accessibility making early voting easy and convenient.
