Stop Sun Trust from charging $12.50 to move money internally from one in-house account to another. We stopped them before-we can do it again.
Why is this important?
I bank at Sun Trust and got this notice on my monthly statement:
"EFFECTIVE JULY 23, 2012 THE $12.50 OVERDRAFT PROTECTION TRANSFER FEE WILL NO
LONGER BE WAIVED WHEN A LIVE SOLID SAVINGS OR GET STARTED SAVINGS ACCOUNT
IS USED AS THE SOURCE OF OVERDRAFT PROTECTION."
This over draft protection simply transfers the necessary amount from a savings account to a checking account if the account gets overdrawn. We're calling for an end to ridiculious fees just because they can charge them. Why does it cost $12.50 to make the same kind of transfer internally I could make myself on a computer for free?
