We support transparency and accountability in government. Alderman Lamont Brown must be able to vote in the best interest of those he represents without being assaulted and threatened by Mayor Kellogg's allies. Why did the Mayor and his allies only protest at Alderman Browns home?
Why is this important?
Mayor Kellogg has called councilmen obstructionist for demanding transparency and oversight. Alderman Lamont Brown along with three other alderman refuse to support a tax levy for similar reason. Citizens expect accountability in government in order to ensure their tax dollars are being utilized appropriately. Any form, act or the appearance of a dictatorship must end and transparency must begin.
