Stop the Abuse! Allow a vote on HB 214 Naming 'Bree's Law.'
Why is this important?
Our daughter Bree Moore was murdered by her boyfriend as a result of dating violence and we have made it our mission to make sure this doesn't happen to another young woman. We are about to lose the opportunity to formally name the 'teen dating violence and prevention education' our family advocated getting passed in 2015 in Alaska, as 'Bree's Law.' We are arming our teens with the knowledge to protect themselves from unhealthy dating relationships through prevention education, but we must reach their hearts in order to effect long-lasting change. Please help us in continuing to touch our kid's hearts with the sharing of Bree's story. We have the overwhelming support of 54 of the 60 legislators, but sadly Senator Kelly is blocking it from a vote.
