Support Global HER Act and Repeal Global Gag Rule

The Global Gag Rule is an executive action re-instated by President Donald Trump that bans foreign aid funding to any organization that provides abortion-related activities, including counseling or referrals, in accordance with a pro-life goal. However, leading research from Stanford University on this topic has found that this policy achieves the opposite of the intended effect: this policy increases abortions, increases maternal deaths, and will endanger children’s health around the world.

Why is this important?

The reinstatement of the Global Gag Rule is a stark example of “evidence-free” policymaking that ignores scientific data, resulting in a policy that will harm women and children around the world and, ultimately, the American people.
