We demand immediate intervention to grant physicians the ability to practice freely with no restrictions to one location or one employer. Give physicians the ability to work online (telehealth) or do home visits or put new ideas to work. Give them the ability to be creative and lead instead of putting chains on their hands.
Why is this important?
We are losing a lot of potential in healthcare due to current immigration regulations that restricts physicians' contributions. The current J1-waiver situation limits the ability of these physicians to treat patients and provide care in cases of emergencies (such as COVID-19). Many physicians are required by their J1-waiver obligation to only practice in few locations under the scrutiny of their sponsors and government.
