To: Governor Ned Lamont

WalkBikeTransit Pledge

I pledge to leave my car at home and use sustainable transport at least one day a week in 2012. By making this promise I will contribute to a healthier local environment, and help mitigate climate change that threatens the food security of people worldwide.

I also call upon Governor Malloy to join me by supporting and funding sustainable transportation options.

Why is this important?

Transportation is the fastest growing source of greenhouse gases in the United States. Biking, walking, taking the train or bus, and using other, more sustainable forms of transportation are healthier and more affordable than driving, and will reduce our contribution to climate change and global food insecurity.

We are pledging to leave our cars at home and use sustainable transportation at least once a week. We are also calling on Governor Malloy to join us by supporting and funding sustainable transportation options.
