The Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") is a public health initiative. Its aim is to ensure that all Americans receive essential health services including preventive medicine.
Why is this important?
The individual insurance plans under Obamacare have gotten off to a rocky start. But families like mine, where we are not eligible for employer sponsored health insurance, but have pre-existing illnesses, depend on the success of this law.
Well, what an election can bring. Joe Biden has ordered a special enrollment period for anyone who needs to enroll from February 15, 2020 to May 15, 2020 due to the Covid-19 crisis.
